Spirituality is forming a relationship with your shadows! Becoming aware of your blind spots, fears; confronting them and transforming them. People are seeking light, where is the light coming from. Through your intuition! Follow that Light!
Dark night of the soul is that moment when your ego strips off completely and you are introduced to the true nature of your soul. You get a sneak peak of the wounded parts of your soul (aka. dark side of the soul) that have been waiting or wanting to express through you for a long long time. It is when you actually realise that you are not your body or mind but your soul. You learn the difference between ego and soul, devil and divine, true and false, right or wrong, 3D and 5D dimensions of consciousness. It is that piercing call of the soul that makes you see through your own false beliefs. Where every tiny thing of universe merges together (as one) leading to Nothingness. It gives you a realisation that all that you have been thinking or believing up until now is actually not true, and that you have been living under some illusion. A mind-made illusion!
IT IS A REBIRTH!
Eckhart Tolle describes it as - "Dark night of the soul is a kind of death that you die. It's not an actual death but what dies is the egoic sense of the self. Yes, death is always painful, but nothing real has actually died there – only an illusory identity".
An identity that you created yourself or was given to you by your family or by the society. Now it is probably the case that some people who’ve gone through this transformation (including me 😃) realized that they had to go through this process, in order to bring about an awakening of their personal power which is - "You are a Divine Being!" Often it is the part of the awakening process; death of the old self and birth of the true new self. Your whole world crumbles down in front your eyes and your entire life flashes like a movie. You suddenly find yourself more awake than ever. Which makes you question - "what kind of life was I living till now?" OR "What kind of LALA land was I wandering in?" The process is referred as Metamorphosis - exactly how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. In its initial stages caterpillar is wrapped into a cocoon and is therefore blind. But a divine force guides the caterpillar to identify that the walls of the cocoon are temporary and can be broken. This divine force then gives caterpillar the power to break through the chains or breakfree. One fine day, the walls of the cocoon collapse, and the caterpillar emerges as its beautiful true self - a Butterfly!
The purpose of the dark night of the soul is to make you become aware of the true nature of yourself which is nothing but DIVINE. Personally, I went through DNOS 3 times. First one was super intense that brought a huge change in my belief system. Second one was less intense but did push me or gave me the wisdom/insight to go make amends with my husband (forget the past and accept him unconditionally). Third one was super super intense that came like a flood and washed away my old identity and turned me into a new person completely.
1. Took my job away - From Forensics to doing IT and from IT, I switched to Tarot Readings and making videos on Youtube.
2. Introduced me to Twin Flame journey - revealed my husband as my Twin and called me to practice Kriya Yogas (Inner work).
3. Called me to surrender to divine completely - had genuine visitations from God in my dreams asking me to leave my ego and surrender to her completely.
It’s the collapse of a mind-made meaning, your childhood residuals of self-doubt, a sense of inadequacy, deeply ingrained interior critics in your psyche, conditioned personality patterns and the subconscious programming - a total deconstruction of your belief system.
It’s a voluntary relinquishment of your Super - Ego that is projected unconsciously. It's not about becoming bigger and better, it's all about complete transformation as a person.

Another factor that follows the DNOS or awakening is that in a few days/weeks/months the blissful aspects fade and it seems that the most wonderful blessed state of the consciousness ever known has been lost. Great despair can set in, along with the return of the ego concluding it has done something wrong that caused this falling out of grace. Some people live in despair for quite a long time after an awakening, primarily because they get stuck in a new identity which is less functional than the old one, and they do not know how to move on. If you find yourself in this condition, it is useful to ask questions like -
Who is it that had this experience and thinks they have lost it?
Has that experience of knowing really gone away?
What is here right now at the deepest level of your being?
